History
JD Williams traces its roots back all the way to the 1850s when James David Williams began selling products from mobile shops. The family run business would have success for over 100 years, morphing in to a mail order catalogue company along they way. Then it was acquired by N Brown in the 60s who have maintained the JD Williams brand name every since.
Today it is the largest catalogues company in the UK, making hundreds of millions in yearly from many individually branded catalogues. Lorraine Kelly has served as the brand’s ambassador.
